All boats to Isla de Lobos leave from the port of Corralejo. The hard part is not the crossing: it is getting to Corralejo and parking in August.

Fuerteventura is long: from the airport to the north it is further than it looks on the map. These times are approximate and by car.

Four legs, and none of them is tricky.
- 01Get to Corralejo
From the airport, about 40 minutes on the FV-1. From the south (Morro Jable), around an hour and a quarter on the FV-2.
- 02Or come by bus
TIADHE line 6 connects Puerto del Rosario with Corralejo. Timetables change by season: check them at tiadhe.com or on the bus page of the Cabildo (the island council) before you count on them.
- 03Park with time to spare
There is parking in the town centre and near the port. In July and August, the earlier the better.
- 04Board
With the free permit on your phone, water, a cap and comfortable footwear. On the islet there are no shops and no shade to speak of.
No car? Take the bus.
If you are staying in the south and would rather not drive to Corralejo, on Fridays Grupo Oby picks passengers up by bus in the south for two excursions. The same bus takes both groups to Corralejo and brings them back south.
- 01Ferry + Bus from the south
The 11:00 scheduled ferry, returning from Lobos at 14:00 or 16:15. Bus included, according to the operator's leaflet. Timetables.
- 02Oby Freebird from the south
A sailing catamaran, which is not the Celia Cruz mini cruise: from about 11:00 to 16:00, not counting the bus, with lunch, drinks, snorkelling, paddleboarding and about two hours on Lobos. Transfer included, according to the leaflet. Prices.
- 03Still to be confirmed
Where and when the bus picks you up, what time you get back to the south, the price and whether the operator arranges the permit. We confirm it before you book: an enquiry is not a booking, and you book and pay Grupo Oby directly.

Where does the boat leave from?
From the port of Corralejo, at the northern tip of Fuerteventura. It is the only regular departure point for the islet.
How long does the crossing take?
About 15 minutes. Lobos is just over two kilometres from the coast.
Do I need a car?
Not for the crossing, but it does help to get to Corralejo. There is also a regular bus from Puerto del Rosario.
Can you get to Lobos from the south without a car?
On Fridays, Grupo Oby picks passengers up by bus in the south for the Ferry + Bus and the Freebird catamaran, according to its leaflets of 8 October 2026. We confirm the pick-up point and time, and the price, before you book.
Where do I park?
There is parking in the centre of Corralejo and in the port area. In high season it fills up early, so allow extra time.
How early should I be at the port?
Our recommendation is 30 or 45 minutes before departure: park, find the mooring and board without rushing. It is not an official rule, it is experience.
